The name “Chandra” comes from Sanskrit, meaning “moon.”
In many cultures, the moon represents calm presence, rhythm, and quiet influence — something that does not force, but gently shapes the world over time.
We chose this name with the intention of reflecting the same philosophy in our work.
CHANDRA AUSTRALIA is an Australian wholesale distributor of premium Japanese incense, connecting established Japanese manufacturers with retail stores across Australia.
Since 2008, we have been involved in sourcing and distribution within Australia. In 2012, we became the official Australian distributor of Nippon Kodo, one of Japan’s most respected incense manufacturers.
While our foundation is built on trade and distribution, our long-term vision is to bring greater awareness of authentic Japanese incense culture to international markets through trusted retail partnerships.
Our Approach
Each piece of our handcrafted hemp jewellery is created individually, with care and intention.
Since 2008, we have been designing and producing hemp jewellery in Australia, offering both wholesale and retail collections. Every piece is handmade, not mass-produced, reflecting a commitment to craftsmanship over quantity.
Our designs often incorporate natural crystals and adjustable elements, allowing each piece to be both personal and functional.
We do not outsource mass production or rely on low-cost manufacturing overseas. Instead, every item is carefully crafted by hand, ensuring quality, authenticity, and attention to detail in each design.
